Stephen Taylor

Stephen Taylor is a Canadian digital strategist known for integrating technology into public affairs, advocacy, and media. Over the past two decades, he has built tools and approaches to mobilize political support and manage public perception online.

In 2004, he organized Canada's first political blogging networks in support of the early Conservative Party of Canada, an effort that drew the attention of Preston Manning. As the first fellow at the Manning Centre for Building Democracy, he helped develop digital campaign tools that modernized political engagement on the right.

Stephen has also worked internationally on democracy development with organizations including the Parliamentary Centre and IRI, including projects in Zimbabwe and Indonesia focused on voter outreach and community polling. In Canada, he has served as a senior advisor to leaders such as Andrew Scheer and Danielle Smith.

He is currently a partner and Chief Technology Officer at Shift Media Strategies, leading digital campaigns for high-stakes issues and developing proprietary technology like Flashbulb, a real-time media monitoring and analysis platform.
